As you watch, pay attention to the way the character in the music video overcame a childhood full of hurt - some of which she contributed to - and found the love she was looking for in the process.

Would you like to make an ongoing effort to change the voice in your head to like YOU?

If so, how can you start?

If not, why not? Is it because that's not a problem for you?

Step 3

For those of us who struggle with this, Pink begs us to change that voice inside our heads. Still not sure what voice she's talking about?

It's the one that shouts that we are not good enough, smart enough, attractive enough, strong enough, wealthy enough, and the list goes on.

That voice, my friend, is a liar. It's the voice most of us struggle with, and you can call it out and override it with the truth.

Have you heard it?

Step 4

As it applies to you, here are some ways you can practice calling out the lies and replacing those lies with the facts.

Poverty? No, not even that is true. You are rich in friends, support, talent, personality, opportunity, brothers or sisters, intelligence, laughter....take your pick or add a new one in the space provided.

Attraction? Nope. You got it. Look in the mirror again. Only this time stop focusing on what you think are flaws. Look at your eyes, your smile. Hear your laughter. Remember the way people have responded to your kindness, your strength, your gentleness (which is another form of strength and attractiveness), your jokes, your intelligence, again the list goes on. All of these qualities are beautiful and attractive.

Name your strengths. List all of them.

Step 5

If this 'voice' is one you often hear, know that it's a hateful message that we all have to shut down at times. In all likelihood, it hates the very best part of you and tries to make you feel ashamed or 'less than'.

Don't fall for it.

If you didn't have worth, then it wouldn't bother you. So you could say that the louder it speaks, the more value you have.

Will you focus on your strengths and qualities when that message in your head tries to get you to focus on something negative?

Simply turn it around. Whatever it says is a negative, think of the opposite that's positive. Now focus on that until you feel yourself gaining confidence.

What negative messages have been popping into your mind lately?

Step 6

Take that message and wrestle through it until you come to what is opposite and positive.

Step 7

If you couldn't get to a place where you believe the positive message, then take heart.

This often is not something that people can do alone. It takes others who see them objectively to be able to help them.

If you don't have that someone yet, then continue to post to your community and/or team, so we all can be in your corner to help you win.
