Goal: this task will increase the confidence of the goal to feel respected (Worthy of Respect).
Next Step - JP published this Cognitive Task at under Societal | Foster Care and Education | Interpersonal and Social Skills
Doers: 5 | Form: Cognitive Task | Phase: | Type: Primary | Level: 1 | Code:
Start: Dec 06, 2019 | When: | Duration: 10 Minute(s)
  • Feelings of self worth are the basis of respect as we've said before.

Your task is to approach one person during the next 24 hours.

Purposefully select people you have made negative assumptions about, such as that they were better than you in some way or worse than you in some way.

    Now put aside your assumptions.

The point is to work on your business, not theirs.

When you have chosen the individual, look the person in the eye, smile casually and genuinely. Now say hello. That’s all. SMILE. SAY HELLO. MOVE ON.

Are you willing to do this exercise?
  • Before you exit this isoBlog to do your task, go to the 'demo' tab and watch the Katy Perry video from her song, "Roar".

Our friend Esther recommended it. She says it gives her confidence and makes her smile. We hope it does the same for you.

As you watch the video, gain strength from the lyrics. Hang onto the lyrics and the feeling of the song throughout the day if it helps you stay strong.

Let us know what you thought about the video when you've finished watching it.
