Step 1

Start by draining 1 can of chick peas (garbanzo beans) into a food processor.

Then, directly into the food processor, add 3 tablespoons of sesame seed paste.

Add between a 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of yogurt or sour cream. (Note: this is the secret ingredient!)

Add 2 to 3 leafs of fresh mint

Add a 1/4 cup of lemon juice.

Now, in a separate bowl, add the most important ingredient: a teaspoon of garlic. Also, add half of teaspoon of salt. Then crush the garlic. When you are finished, add the mixture into the food processor.

Run the food processor for two minutes. Then, using a spatula, check the consistency. (Note: if the mixture is too thick, add water or lemon juice too taste.)

Spread and serve on a plate, add garnish as desired. Lastly, add extra virgin olive oil around the outside of the hummus.
